The Massachusetts legislature passed the bill establishing the University of Massachusetts Boston on June 16, 1964, which Gov. Endicott Peabody signed on June 18, 1964.On June 16, 2014, members of the legislature and the daughters of UMass Boston's co-founders took part in a celebration at the State House.This video shows just some of the event.
