Running in 1967, before women were officially allowed to participate in the marathon, Kathrine Switzer was physically accosted on the route by a race official, but she persevered and completed the race. She talked about her own experience and her thoughts on the 2014 Boston Marathon at UMass Boston on April 17, 2014.
