The Writing Proficiency Requirement (WPR) measures your ability to evaluate different points of view, read critically and write analytically. To graduate from UMass Boston, you must demonstrate these skills by meeting the Writing Proficiency Requirement. Your proficiency is assessed through a portfolio of your writing or the Writing Proficiency Exam (WPE).
