NEW VOICES, NEW STORIES: A Celebration of Student Playwrights opens at UMass Boston on Thursday, April 16, continuing through April 18, and again April 22 through April 24. In this video, the director and two dramaturgs who worked with playwrights Pete Riesenberg '12 and Cat Roberts '14 talk briefly about the plays and the process. - 1:25Fakisha Fabre '17: One of the 29 Who Shine in 2017Fakisha Fabre, a student in the Master’s in Public Administration Program in the McCormack Graduate School, is the 2017 "29 Who Shine" award winner from the University of Massachusetts Boston. To receive the award, students must be Massachusetts residents graduating from one of the 29 state universities and community colleges who plan to continue living and working in the state after graduation. Winners plan to pursue a career in a needed field in the commonwealth, work at a startup, or take on a community service role.
