Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone visited UMass Boston on April 4, 2014, to screen a portion of his recent Showtime miniseries, "The Untold History of the United States." This video represents just some of what Stone and Peter Kuznick, who coauthored the accompanying book, had to say. To receive the award, students must be Massachusetts residents graduating from one of the 29 state universities and community colleges who plan to continue living and working in the state after graduation. Winners plan to pursue a career in a needed field in the commonwealth, work at a startup, or take on a community service role.
